Our vacation has come to an end, but it was so wonderful while it lasted! The kids were troopers. We really messed with their schedules and they had to sleep in unfamiliar places, but they had awesome attitudes and it made the trip so much easier. It was great to see our friends from college. Almost everyone has kids now so we met in family-friendly places and just hung out and fellowshipped together. We did lots of sightseeing and shopping so it's going to take me a few days to blog about it all.
Before I do that, I wanted to share some pictures of me! Some of you asked about it before so here you go. I just got my hair cut so here is before and after pictures.
One of the things on my to-do-list for this year is to get my teeth fixed. They have become more crooked with each passing year and I need to do something about them. I'm only 32 so I've got at least 20 years or more before my teeth can look like this and I can get away with it! It's one of my pet peeves that Japanese people (in general) don't take care of their teeth very well. 4 kids out of the 14 kids in my English class have totally black teeth. I don't get it. My excuse is that I've had four kids in the last 6 years but that's over so I need to get back to taking care of myself! I even shaved my legs yesterday...
Hopefully I won't procrastinate too long with writing about our trip!

Like the hair!
Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog. You have a lovely looking family and I like your haircut!
I was reading your blog and I totally identified with the asking the preschooler 'What did you do today?' and getting the I don't know or I don't remember as a response. I don't really know how much he knows or just doesn't want to talk about it now.
Your hair looks great- a nice fresh spring look. It is too bad we didnt cross paths at Lalaport- what a coincidence. Please contact me next time your in Yokohama.
Welcome back! I kept popping up the blog page hoping for a new entry last week - I miss you so much it's pathetic, no really. My one comfort was that I got to watch Natsuki rolling and rocking..
Guess, what: I've been to Lalaport - it's awesome! We stayed at a hotel across the street when we took the women's team to Japan in 2000. I could never remember the name of the mall but now I've been healed of that malady. That was the best shopping I have seen in Japan so far
Glad you're back sweetie,
Love Mom
Hi Sarah!! It's Kim! Your hair looks great :) I understand you goal to fix your teeth, it's totally understandable especially for someone who smiles as much as you! It was my goal too. My teeth aren't too bad but the front two were different, one was kinda crooked into the other so i went to the dentist and they kinda grinded it down a bit(not as gross as it sounds)and now they look even and good. Plus i brush with a vibrating tooth brush and it makes them whiter!!I'm glad you had a good trip!
Love Kim
oops! I forgot to tell you how great your hair looks. I'm glad you have found hairdressers that know what to do with your hair.
i, too, love your hair! i need to get mine cut, perhaps colored too. re:teeth...i say go for it! i hated mine for so long and a couple of years ago i finally got braces. it took a couple of years, but when they were off it was worth it.
i'm glad you're back to. i forgot you guys were on vacation and i started wondering if everything was ok. :)
Your hair looks fab!!! Looking forward to hearing about your holiday!
Your hair looks fab and it's nice to place a face, to the person/friend I've been blogging back and forth with and emailing with! : )
Hey Sarah, your hair looks awesome! I'm glad you guys had a great vacation, but I'm equally glad you're back and sharing about your daily life again. Anyway, I totally understand about the teeth thing. Mine have started to go a little wonky over the past few years as well, so I'm meeting with an orthodontist in a few weeks for an "evaluation". Yikes!
BTW, Felicity is now totally convinced that her cousins are coming for a sleepover and then we're all going to Starbucks, so we're going to have to make that happen in the somewhat near future. I hope you're having a great day! Love, Hannah
You look lovely! And I agree with Gina, it`s nice to have a face to put with the name!
I don`t know why my real name is showing up when I comment but just so you know who left the last comment, it`s me, Tigermama!
