I'm trying to catch up with blogging a bit so here are a few highlights from June. My mom came to visit us and we had Sakura's 5th birthday!
Natsuki doing her buttons!
The girls being silly at Sakura's b-day party. Notice the torn up shoji on the window behind them. Throughout the summer the shoji went from bad to worse.
Making Father's Day cards!
The dress mom made for Sakura. It's a little big so it'll fit her next year, too.
The quilt my mom made for Natsuki. It's Noah's Ark.
next up July...

Wow- I really want to make a quilt for goma-chan (oh and thanks for your recent comment re, budgeting- due to links it was stuck in my spam but I saved it and posted it to the site now!) but I am definitely no where near as talented as your mum.
Natsuki doing her buttons up is so cute.
What great photos! Love the making funny faces one and Natsuki making a father's day card in her underpants- can totally see my two doing that too!
Shoji is so beautiful for such a short time isn't it? If it bothers you one option is to replace the paper with backing fabric, you can't tell the difference unless you get close and it's way stronger! We redid the entire downstairs in it as paper wasn't standing up to life with little kids!
Oh my goodness - I love your mom's pose! Made me laugh out loud. And her quilt, too, is adorable!
WOW! I love that quilt!!!
