nana

My nana passed away last weekend. She has not been strong for the last year or so. When we were home in August she fell at her home and hit her head and although the injury wasn't that bad, from that day on she was just not the same and eventually had to move to a nursing home. I knew when I saw her before we left that it would probably be the last time but that doesn't mean her passing hasn't taken me by surprise.

So I will go home for a week to attend her funeral. My husband is letting me go by myself so maybe you could all say a prayer for him this week as he watches the girls.

I'm wondering when it will hit me that she is actually gone. I'm dreading that moment.

Wow.

My thoughts are with you.

It's so hard at times like these to be so far away from family, isn't it?

Every time the land line rings here there's a moment when I dread picking up the phone.

I think your husband is a wonderful man for his offer and I hope he gets all the physical , mental and spiritual support he will surely need!

Dear Sarah, I'm so so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I will be praying for you all (in Japan and Canada) while you are gone.

I lost both of my grandmothers while I was here also, so when it hits, feel free to write or call.

Blessings on your trip - Kim

Your family is in my thoughts.

And I have the same worries about my remaining grandparents.

I hope you have a safe trip home and that being able to mourn with your family helps the grief.

I know I told you my condolences already when we emailed a few days ago.: ( But, I wanted to tell you here, as well. I am so very deeply sorry Sarah, that you're grandma has passed and I'm sorry for your whole family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am glad you are going home for her funeral, that way you and your family can be of some comfort to one another, during this sad time. Ahh, I just so sorry Sarah!

My thoughts with also be with Chikara, as he stays behind and takes wonderful care of your 4 girls. He can do it. It will be hard but good thing you have a wonderful husband that springs into action like this. A very good man indeed! He will do fine, I am sure of it! : )

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your grandmother. I don't think it really ever matters who old you are, losing your nanna is a really difficult thing. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Sarah - I am so sorry to hear that your nana passed away. My grandmother passed away this past June and it didn't really sink in until August. Grandparents are such a wonderful thing in our lives and you are blessed to have had a relationship with yours.

Safe travelling.
